| Starr on Racing at Bristol Motor Speedway: I love racing at Bristol. This is probably the most thrilling race for the fans every single year. It is intense every single lap, and you never know what is going to happen. I love being part of this race. Everybody asks you to describe Bristol, but its hard to do. Behind the wheel, you barely have time to catch your breath. You are constantly trying to be aware of your surroundings, turn the truck, look out in front of you and do everything you can to keep your truck in one piece. I dont know if the word intense actually does the night justice. This is an entirely different animal from any other race track that we go to. You never know what is going to happen. And when they say anyone can win well, theres not a place where that statement is more true. Wednesday nights race is anybodys game. The No. 11 Red Horse Racing Team won (Martinsville Speedway), finished third (Mansfield Motorsports Speedway), 11th (Memphis Motorsports Park) and fourth (OReilly Raceway Park). Like I said, racing at Bristol is different than at any other track we go to. It takes an unbelievable amount of concentration from the driver and the crew. I think any race car driver will tell you that short tracks are tough on the driver, on the team and on the equipment. Bristol is probably the toughest. Ive had two top-10 finishes at Bristol, and Im more confident than ever going into this race with my Red Horse Racing team behind me. My crew chief Jamie Jones really knows what to do to make my truck turn on the short tracks. He also knows the calls to make on top of the pit box and how to keep me calm when things get a little dicey on the track. And Im sure there will be moments like that this weekend. This No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota has finished in the top five on three short tracks this year. Our goal is to get my first top-five finish at Bristol which we need in this points race and we want to produce for our associate sponsor TOYOTAFORKLIFT.NET. Notes: Starr will be making his 157th career start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this week at Bristol. Starr has four career victories (Las Vegas 2002, St. Louis and Phoenix 2004, Martinsville 2006). 2006 Quick Facts Starts 16 Wins 1 Top-5 Finishes 3 Top-10 Finishes 7 Poles 0 DNFs 0 Average Start 16.3 Average Finish 11.2 Points Position 8th No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team Employee Name Track Duties Shop Duties Jamie Jones Crew Chief Crew Chief David Starr Driver Driver Jason Miller Truck Chief Truck Chief DJ Edwards Front Tire Changer Cory White Front Tire Carrier Mechanic Dwayne Ogles Rear Tire Changer Matt Struve Rear Tire Carrier Mechanic Rowdy Cannaday Gasman Suspension Mechanic Brent Craig Catchcan Louie Ellis Fuel Runner Transport Driver Andrew Turner Jackman James Castiglione Mechanic Mechanic Red Horse Racing's ownership consists of general manager Tom DeLoach, a former Mobil Corp. executive; and Jeff Hammond, a NASCAR Nextel Cup championship crew chief now serving as an analyst for FOX Sports.
