What do people think
about Toyota Tundra ?

I love this truck. I've owned Ford and Chevy, never thought I'd buy a Toyota. This one was the best value when I was shopping, and the test drive blew away the Ford and Chevy. Not to mention the selection at the dealerships. The truck handles like a car and is loaded with POWER! It does a great job towing my boat....

Starr on Racing at Talladega Superspeedway:

David Starr has never raced at Talladega Superspeedway before, however he has tested at the 2.66-mile track. Earlier this year at Daytona, Starr qualified the No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota in sixth-place and finished 14th. Starrs best finish at Daytona is a seventh place (2002).

I can tell you one thing for sure the fans are going to see one heck of a race when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series take the track at Talladega . When the trucks go to tracks that dont normally produce good racing in other Series, we always put on a tremendous show. And we do that everywhere we go. The way these trucks push through the air, and the way we race its just going to be incredible. The way the draft is, everybody races on top of each other. The fans are going to see trucks going four and five wide. And you dont want to think about it happening, and hopefully it wont, but I would say that there is the potential for the big one. I know the fans always talk about what a great race we put on at Daytona, but they havent seen anything yet. Saturday is going to be a race that you dont want to miss.

Starr on the importance of Talladega to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series:

I think it is really cool that we are finally getting to race at Talladega Superspeedway. Its just another big mark for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I remember the first time that we went to Daytona, and thats when we knew that everyone was taking the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series seriously. It was the same way the first time we went to Charlotte , and I think it is the same way with us going to Talladega this year. Im just really excited to get down to Talladega.

As a competitor, we all know how much history there is at Talladega . Ive never gotten to race there before, but I have tuned into the races on TV many times. When you hear Talladega , you think about Dale Earnhardt and all of his accomplishments at the track. This is so big for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. There are a lot of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series veterans in our Series who have had the privilege to race at Talladega before, but there are more of us that havent. Im so excited about this race I cant wait to get down there.

Starr Talks Talladega Strategy:

Starr is currently sixth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship points standings. He is 358 points behind leader Todd Bodine and just 37 points out of fifth place. For Starr and the No. 11 Red Horse Racing Team, the goal is to get back into the top five in points and make a run for the top three. To do that, the name of the game at Talladega is survival.

Ive watched the races at Talladega over the years, and Ive seen how so many drivers just hang back through the course of the race and then charge their way to the front at the perfect time. But to say what our strategy is going to be at Talladega , I cant tell you that because right now I dont know. It depends on how strong our truck is and a lot of other factors. I do know that you have to have a strategy to make it to the checkered flag at Talladega . Youve got to survive the race so that you can get the best points finish you can. The thing with Talladega is that it is a crap shoot. Anybody can win this race. With the way the trucks race and the way the draft works at tracks like this, its truly anybodys game out there. Everybodys a favorite.

Notes:

Starr will be making his 160th career start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this week at Talladega .

Starr has four career victories ( Las Vegas 2002, St. Louis and Phoenix 2004, Martinsville 2006).
