| Starr on Racing at Kentucky Speedway: Kentucky Speedway is awesome. The groove is so smooth and wide, that you can put your truck anywhere on the race track. You can run high. You can run low. You can run side by side and it really makes for some exciting racing. The fans really get their moneys worth when they come to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Kentucky Speedway. Ill bet theyll be on their feet all night watching some incredible racing. Ive had some good finishes at Kentucky in the past, and I feel like I have been close to having the truck that it takes to win. I really would like to win there. Last year, I finished 10th and the Red Horse Racing team finished in sixth-place. So, I know that we have a pretty good grasp of what we need to do at Kentucky Speedway heading in there. Hopefully, this is the year for me and my Red Horse Racing Toyota team. Look at Terry Cook as a perfect example he broke a 94-race win drought last week at Kansas Speedway. And its not like he hasnt contended for multiple wins during that time. I think that just proves how competitive this Series is every single weekend. There are easily 20 trucks that could roll into Victory Lane, and you just never know which day is going to be your time to celebrate. It takes a great pit crew, a great race truck and luck to win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I have the first two covered I just hope to have some luck on my side in Kentucky, and maybe we can take this Red Horse Racing Team to Victory Lane again. Starr On His Red Horse Racing Team: I have to hand it to my Red Horse Racing pit crew they have been on top of their game the past few weeks. Thats what it takes to win races and a championship in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I havent had some of my best qualifying efforts recently, so we have really had to work as a team to make up ground on both the race track and on pit road. Ive been working to pass as many trucks as I can on the track, and my pit crew has not let me down on pit road. Every time I come down pit road, they are getting me out several positions ahead of where I came in. It takes that kind of work in the pits to come out ahead in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Their work has helped us to get some solid Top 10 finishes and to keep this Red Horse Racing Toyota in the Top 10 in points, which is where we belong. Notes: Starr will be making his 153rd career start in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this week at Kentucky. Starr has four career victories (Las Vegas 2002, St. Louis and Phoenix 2004, Martinsville 2006). 2006 Quick Facts Starts 12 Wins 1 Top-5 Finishes 2 Top-10 Finishes 5 Poles 0 DNFs 0 Average Start 17.0 Average Finish 11.4 Points Position 7th No. 11 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team Employee Name Track Duties Shop Duties Jamie Jones Crew Chief Crew Chief David Starr Driver Driver Jason Miller Truck Chief Truck Chief Jordan Allen Front Tire Changer Cory White Front Tire Carrier Mechanic Dwayne Ogles Rear Tire Changer Matt House Rear Tire Carrier Mechanic Rowdy Cannaday Gasman Suspension Mechanic Brent Craig Catchcan Louie Ellis Fuel Runner Transport Driver Andrew Turner Jackman James Castiglione Mechanic Mechanic Red Horse Racing's ownership consists of general manager Tom DeLoach, a former Mobil Corp. executive; and Jeff Hammond, a NASCAR Nextel Cup championship crew chief now serving as an analyst for FOX Sports.
