| | Model | Sr5 4x4 Ext Cab Trd | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Factory tires- they wear out too soon 30,000 miles--which may be a good thing since tread sucks on mud and ice. Suspension is a little soft to create a car like ride. Seat belt retention is a little weak-really not a big deal. Its hard to find much fault with this truck | | | General comments? | I have owned this truck for four years. I did the break recall @ 15000 miles. I did not notice any problems but thought it was a good idea. Roters were turned but I do not think they replaced the pads. I went 60,000 miles before I had to repace the pads. The only problems I have had are a broken rear window latch and carbon canister leak which turned on check engine light this was replaced under warrenty. Drivers seat belt retention is weak. I am extremly impressed with this truck. Great low gears, good ground clearance excellent off road vehicle. Very smooth quiet ride on road. Almost too good, a stiffer suspension would ride rougher but get less body roll. This truck has plenty of power, very snappy motor. I get 14-15mpg w | | | Previous car | I have not owned another modern truck but have friends with the big three american trucks who have multiple serious problems |
