What things have gone wrong with the car?Quick on take off, but long distance speed isn't so fast. It will of course suck down the gas if you have a led foot. At this time I really can't say there are any other weaknesses. I use it for personal and luxury driving, no off roading, and moving heavy furniture and such. It serves all of those purposes well. I did get it stuck in someone's front yard once in the grass! They had a slight dipping area in the front yard that I slowly drove accross sort of diagnally thinking it would keep me from scraping the front or rear of my truck. Well, it caused my right rear will to come off of the ground and it just sat and spun. The left rear wheel was in full contact with the ground, but was not recaiving any power to move the truck. I had to place a wooden pallet under the right rear tire to get traction to get out of my little predicament. Is the right side the drive wheel, and doesn't the power transfer to the other wheel in situations like this? I guess this could be a major weakness.
General comments?Sharp looking truck, car-like ride, great pick up, smooth handling. I love my truck. Has all of the bells and whistles. Nice stereo system. Turns alot of heads. Have had it close to about 120 MPH, although speedometer doesn't go that high. Had someone behind me with faster car sort of clocking me. The Michelin tires are great. Were original equipment and got about 57,000 miles out of them. Right at 36,000 miles, I had an O2 sensor that needed replacement which cost close to $200 parts and labor. About the same time, the belts started squeaking in the morning when I would first start to drive the truck, or after it sat for a while. Sprayed with Belt Spray and solves the problem for a while. Noticed the drivers side seat belt does not like to retract fully sometimes. Is becoming more frequent now. Recently I noticed the front end would shake or vibrate a little when I applied the brakes, and then I noticed a slight mettalic sound while I was driving without the brake being applied. I took it in for a brake inspection and was told the brake pads need to be replaced, and that they were wore down about 75%. The rear brakes were only wore about 25% according to the auto shop. I was quoted $139 + tax for front brake pad replacement. I have about 57,000 miles on my truck, so I guess it is about time to replace the pads. I am a little concerned about the brake issue now that I have read so many other people have had problems with the pads and the rotors. Also, I notice that if I have stopped a little hard, after the truck has stopped for a few seconds I feel a thump from the rear end of my truck. I don't know if it is just the anti-lock brakes releasing or what, but the first time it happened I thought someone bumped into my back bumper. The cab window locks are cheaply made. The latches on both sides have broken. The chrome side step bars are sharp looking, but they have plastic no-slip surfaces that have been starting to pop up. If you step on them, they push back down into the step bar. The window latches and side step bar issues are minor, but when you pay about $30,000 for a vehicle you do expect quality and for it to be durable.
