| | Model | Tundra Limited V8 4WD | | | What things have gone wrong with the car? | Transimission jolts, lack of features, quality | | | General comments? | There is a serious transimission problem with these trucks. PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT BEFORE BUYING. I have read other reviews that talk about rough acceleration or transimission jolting, and I experience very violent jolts especially after coasting from 20+ MPH down to 10, which I frequently do in rush hour driving. I fully expect to have to replace the transmission, and am glad I bought the extended warranty.
Have had many other quality related problems which surprise me in a brand with such a high reputation. These include no less than 4 different noises in the dashboard, the most frequent of which the dealer has been able to isolate and fix. The other 3 I have had to learn to live with, and can only do so by saying "it's just a truck" which sucks given the amount I paid for this Limited model. There is also a plastic piece on the drivers seat post that is poorly attached and which I constantly kick off when exiting the truck. I got tired of that one pretty quick and just stopped putting it back on.
